DJ
Folly Ghost is a Brazilian DJ, producer and curator based in Berlin. His tracks are a collection of seductive rhythms with a fierce bass that set the mood for a celebration of bodies. He enjoys exploring a wide variety of peripheral sounds such as Jersey Club, Ghetto House, Ballroom Music among other diasporic beats. Influenced by his upbringing in Rio de Janeiro, mixtures of Baile Funk are often featured in his sets, however Folly Ghost's commitment is not to genres, but to creating a space for lust and delight. Besides being a dance floor fire starter, he has a passion for teaching, having mentored DJs that have been booked in major festivals, such as Dekmantel, Popkultur, CTM and others.

ABOUT THE LESSON
"The beginner classes are generally divided in 3 parts:
1. Musical theory, music curation and introduction to file analysis in Rekordbox.
2. Practice: EQing, basic mixing techniques, beatmatching, musical structure and effects.
3. Curating and recording your first set, DJ etiquette, how to get gigs/radio segments, how to charge, developing your creative process and setting goals for your career.
Intermediate students will have a customized plan, based on their needs and areas that they wish to focus.
All classes observe the students’ interests and goals so the lessons can cater to the singularity of every individual.
All students get access to a discord channel where they can ask questions about techniques, gear and receive sporadic invitations for networking events and music documentary screenings."
