If you're driving to our Ridgewood studios in Queens, street parking is available nearby. Like everywhere in New York, parking can be limited at times, but it usually doesn’t take long to find a spot.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Easily accessible from Bushwick, East Williamsburg, or Long Island City, the best way to get to Pirate Ridgewood is by taking the subway. Take the L to Halsey St Station or Wilson Avenue Station. It's a five-minute walk from Halsey St or a ten-minute walk from Wilson Avenue.

Opening times vary by room and day, so check the live calendar when you book. Your entry code arrives before your session: enter it at the door and head to your room.

How do I prepare for my first session?

To make sure your session goes smoothly, we suggest taking a couple of minutes to read a bit more about the type of studio you’ve booked:

Reread your confirmation email
It has travel directions, codes for the front door, and codes for your studio. Every time you book a studio type for the first time (for example you're a DJ trying out a production studio), we’ll also send you a quick overview of that space and equipment.

Arrive early
We suggest you arrive at Pirate 15 minutes before your session to help orientate yourself, check out our common areas and find your studio.

House rules
We want you, and the rest of the Pirate community, to have the best possible experience using our facilities. To help us achieve that, we ask that you follow our house rules when visiting Pirate. In summary:

Respect your fellow Pirates
Absolutely no smoking or vaping
Keep all liquids away from the equipment
Tidy up at the end of your session
Turn off the air-con or heater fan before you leave

What if something breaks or I need a spare?

Every site has a spares cupboard, but spares are only provided to rehearsal rooms. If equipment is missing or faulty, here’s what to do.

How many people are allowed in each studio?

Maximum capacity varies by room type. To check a specific room, head to book.pirate.com and look for the person icon in the bottom left of the room’s listing. The number next to it is the maximum number of people allowed.
