Entrance to Pirate Studios Greenwich

The studios are located near the Greenwich Shopping Park off Bugsby's Way in Charlton. If you're feeling peckish, there are plenty of options from nearby supermarkets (Sainsbury's, ASDA, Aldi, M&S) and cafes. There are new stores and options opening in the area all the time.

Hitting a creative block? Why not pop outside and take a walk along the nearby river path towards the iconic O2 arena. With several pubs, cafes and even a reclaimed Thames-side dockland park en route, you're bound to ignite some ideas ahead of your next studio session.

How much of my time will the program take each week?

Apprenticeship training should be delivered during the apprentices’ working hours. All apprentices must be allocated 20% of their paid working hours for “off-the-job training”.That can be spread in any way across your working week and does not need to be taken as a solid chunk. It will likely vary week to week according to the specific course you are on and what is being delivered and its method of delivery each week.

Please see the “Delivery method” section of each cohort to get a better idea of how much

How do I book a session?

Our live booking calendar shows the latest availability of studios. You can book anywhere from a year in advance right up until a few minutes beforehand. Some studios are popular, so we recommend securing your slot in advance.

TIP: Book enough time to set-up and get comfortable with the gear, and set-up/pack-down anything you’ve brought along.

Can I hire extra equipment?

We don't offer additional equipment for hire beyond the equipment already included with your studio. Birmingham Pirates can hire from our equipment rental shop.

I'm having trouble with a code or lock — help?

Slow and gentle!  Our locks can be a little sensitive so put your code in slowly and as detailed on your booking — such as * 1 2 3 4 5 6. Don't forget the star!

You might be sent a four-digit code as a replacement for the booking, such as 1 2 3 4.  As above, press slowly and in this case, with no star, *.

If you're having trouble with the lock or code, use # to reset and try again. If this doesn't work, please contact us via WhatsApp and we'll help get you in as soon as possible.

What are the benefits to Pirate of this?

  • Grow & develop talent in your Team to build a stronger pipeline
  • Improve turnover, engagement and progression
  • Develop role-relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours
  • Improve our customer experience and your Site’s performance KPIs
  • Reward and recognise our people

If I don’t get through this time, will there be another opportunity in the future?

Potentially. This is the first time Pirate is offering something like this and if all goes well we will want to continue to offer apprenticeships.
