🎧 April - New Music
1. Ollie Read – ‘On The Line’ (Single)
Release Date: April 25th
Genre: Electronic/Dance
‘On The Line’ marks British DJ and producer Ollie Read’s first single with Mustache Crew Records and includes a radio edit and original mix. This high-energy tech-house track is made for the club, characterised by heavy bass, hard-hitting synths, and an emotional vocal hook. Read’s short career has already seen support from the likes of Solardo, Markus Schulz, and Jaguar, and ‘On The Line’ is sure to garner even more interest this year.
2. Drew Austin – ‘No Distractions’ (EP)
Release Date: April 26th
Genre: R&B/Soul
Known for his electrifying uptempo tracks, the upcoming EP from producer/songwriter Drew Austin, 'No Distractions,' marks a change of pace for Austin as he ventures into R&B. The four-track EP is tranquil from the first note and showcases the London-based artist’s range and ability to reinvent.

3. The Velvet Hands – ‘Chick Habit’ (Single)
Release Date: April 5th
Genre: Indie Rock
With two albums already under their belt and having earned support from some of the biggest platforms in music—from Radio 1 to NME—The Velvet Hands have played support slots for the likes of Fontaines D.C., VANT, Wallows, Frank Turner, Paul Weller, and Liam Gallagher.
Now, they are back with a new single. It’s their own version of Serge Gainsbourg’s “Laisser Tomber Les Filles” ("leave the girls alone"), using the 1990s version "Chick Habit", with lyrics by American singer April March, as featured by Tarantino in his film Death Proof. Sung half in French and half in English, the track also comes with details of new headline show dates in London and Paris, so you won’t have to wait long to see this one live.

1. Nicolas Noom – ‘Wishes’ (Single)
Release Date: March 1st
Genre: Experimental
Emerging from Berlin's alternative music scene, Nicolas Noom delivers a high-energy, dystopian soundscape with his latest single, 'Wishes'. With it, Noom promises to take you "from the depths of despair to the highs of hope with its experimental and rule-defying beats" if you let him. In 2023, Noom developed his live show, with performances at Privatclub and Prachtwerk in Berlin, and the Ruby Room in Tokyo. Poised for more, don’t miss this exciting artist if he comes to your town.
2. Boy Racer – ‘Boy Racer’ (EP)
Release Date: March 8th
Genre: Trance
The latest project from DJ & Producer Sharpson, and the London-based Breakbeat duo S.U.R.E., is certainly gathering speed. Set to release their self-titled EP on Matter of Time Records this March, Boy Racer combines the essence of Trance's golden age with contemporary sounds, drawing inspiration from legendary live electronic acts like The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, The Prodigy, and The Bloody Beetroots. Add to that their PS1 aesthetic and Formula-1 fashion sense, if you haven’t come across Boy Racer yet, it might just be something brand new.
3. Alys Hardy – ‘In Retrospect’ (Single)
Release Date: March 15th
Genre: Pop
‘In Retrospect’ is the second single from Welsh multi-instrumentalist Alys Hardy’s debut album of the same name. The first release, ‘I Like It Like That’, premiered on BBC Radio Cymru and was featured on BBC Introducing on Radio Wales last month. Hardy’s powerful vocals carry the title track, a fiery indie-pop anthem that’s sure to make audiences move. Hopefully there are some gigs in the works.
4. Sakawah Boys – ‘Say Less’ (EP)

Genre: Electronic/Dance
5 original dance tracks from party starters Sakawah Boys are contained in their new ‘Say Less’ EP. The UK Garage stalwarts have already garnered support from the likes of Jaguar on BBC Radio One and Jess Izatt on BBC Introducing. This new record represents the culmination of 8 months of work, during which the crew linked up with some of their favourite producers and artists to collaborate and create tunes that are tried and tested on the dance floor. With whispers of a UK and Europe tour in the works for 2024, you’d be well-advised to get in there early.
5. Monita – ‘Divine Feminine Energy’ (EP)

Often behind the scenes producing for other artists, with notable credits like $money Mantra$ by Moonlight Scorpio, and Butterfly 222 & Magnetize by Maijah, Monita’s latest personal EP, 'Divine Feminine Energy,' has landed. This London-based multi-disciplinary artist offers a burst of positivity across four tracks, each one minute long. Let this compact collection lift your mood.

6. Drella – ‘Guillotine’ (Single)

One of Bradford’s most exciting recent alumni, Drella are coming out with politically charged alternative rock that’s resonating across the UK and further afield. Dripping with satire, Drella's 'Guillotine' pokes fun at contemporary British politics with witty lyrics that critique politicians for their support of spending cuts and scapegoating immigrants. Add a crunching guitar hook, melodic bassline, and thunderous drumbeat, for a track that will get you moshing and stay with you the next day. A UK tour, a slot at a major UK festival, and radio plays on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6 Music in 2023 set the backdrop for another big year for Drella, and they sound ready for it.

1. Dinah Is – ‘You Are Insane’ (Single)

Indie pop artist Dinah Is celebrates cutting toxic people out of her life and invites you to do the same with her latest single, 'You Are Insane.' This track marks her first release since signing with Rexius Records in 2023. Drawing inspiration from artists like Sigrid, Caroline Polachek, Mac Miller, and Anderson .Paak, Dinah skillfully blends indie pop with jazz and hip-hop influences in this new offering.
2. Patience – ‘Whatever It Takes’ (Single)

The Leeds quintet Patience, previously known as Japanese Raccoon Dog, returns with their debut single under this new moniker: ‘Whatever It Takes’. This track features a tuneful blend of alternative pop vocals, emo-influenced guitars, and strong percussive elements. Along with the single, a series of UK dates will introduce this new project to the world. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch them live.
3. Aisa – ‘Bad Daze’ (Single)

Filipino-American musician Aisa, listing influences such as Steve Lacy, Omar Apollo, and Ryan Beatty, releases his latest pop tune 'Bad Daze'. Likely to resonate with fans of Dijon, Clairo, and Omar Apollo, this track comes via the LA-based creative agency Homegrown, following Aisa’s well-received single 'Company' and offering a preview of what to expect from his upcoming album.
4. Molly Mouse – ‘Leo’ (Single)

London-based DJ and producer Molly Mouse's first original single is released under the Lady of the House label. Building on the success of her earlier remix for Jess Bays & Hayley May's 'Colourblind', released by Good Company in June, this track does not hold back. Enjoy the thumping bassline and seductive grooves.
Molly Mouse's expertise behind the decks has already taken her to major festivals such as Creamfields, Boomtown, and VW. We can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for her following this release.
