Your wellbeing is our priority

We're doing everything we can to ensure you have a good session — with 4.7 out of 5 members rating Pirate as a place they feel safe visiting.

We have introduced several measures to help keep you as safe as possible. This includes limiting the number of people who can be in a studio at once and placing clear markings on floors to help you know what a safe distance is. We have also implemented a track and trace system to allow more than two households per booking.

What we're doing:

  • Upped our cleaning and sanitising practices
  • We provide gloves, spray and paper towels at every site
  • Our self-service model minimises the number of people you come into contact with

To help us help you:

  • Enter all your guests' details when requested at booking
  • Please practice social distancing
  • Before and after each session, please ensure you sanitise and clean all equipment using the provided spray and paper towels
  • Wash your hands — for as long as it takes to name at least 15 EDM genres
  • Respect the government guidelines on capacity/households
  • Consider wearing a mask in the common areas (optional)

Frequently asked questions

What is 'track and trace' or contact tracing?

To allow our studios to return to normal operation, we are asking all bookers to share the name and phone number of everyone who will be at the session. 

If you test positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) or have had close contact with someone who has tested positive, this precaution allows us to share details with your country’s health programme. Details will only be used for this purpose and will be deleted 21 days after the date of booking.

Please note, this will also apply to students using BIMM designated rooms.

What is your studio capacity?

  • Rehearsal Classic: From 100 to 130 sq. ft — four people maximum
    Rehearsal Premium: 215 sq. ft — four people maximum
  • Rehearsal Pirate: between 215 to 260 sq. ft — five people maximum
  • Rehearsal Pirate XL: From 260 to 300 sq. ft — six people maximum
  • Showcase: 395 sq. ft — six people maximum
  • DJ Premium/ProStudio: From 65 to 130 sq. ft — five people maximum
  • Production Studio: From 65 to175 sq. ft — five people maximum
  • Podcast: 110 sq. ft — six people maximum
  • Dance: 580 sq. ft — 11 people maximum

How can I help keep myself and others safe?

You must adhere to government guidelines on physical distancing, staying two metres apart at all times. We'll be providing sanitation spray, paper towels and gloves at the studio, for use on-site (we know it may be tempting to take them with you, but removing these will result in a fine).

Before and after your session, please spray sanitiser onto the paper towel — and use it to wipe down any equipment or surfaces you come into contact with.

Of course, the best advice is to stay at home if you feel unwell.

What sort of cleaning are you doing?

Your safety and wellbeing is our highest priority – we wouldn’t do anything to put this at risk. All studios are cleaned and sanitised as often as possible, but it’s still crucial for you to wipe down and sanitise the kit at the beginning and end of each session. We provide gloves, spray and paper towels at every site.

What times will the studios be open?

We'll keep the latest information on this page. Keep checking back to see when your local studio is open, and look to the booking calendar for availability. 

What is your cancellation policy?

If you've made a booking with us but have any symptoms (however mild), we'd ask that you please refrain from taking your booking. 

If your booking is more than 12 hours away, you can easily cancel or move your booking in your account by going to 'My Bookings' and clicking on the relevant session.

If your booking is less than 12 hours away refunds are available or we can shift your booking to a later date — get in touch via Live Chat and we'll be happy to help.
