DJ
Andrzej Sobolewski (aka Polanski) is a multidisciplinary artist and events curator with DJ career spanning over two decades. Not bound to one musical style, he tries to bridge the gap between the rhythmic grooves and more of the experimental styles of music. Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey. Starting off as a vinyl DJ, it was a matter of time he was able to explore all the available formats.
Today, he continues his craft using 2 to 4 CDJs. His music passion solidified with a bachelor's degree in Sonic Media. While DJing took him to Beams, Gegen, Klub Verboten, Tresor or his very own Volt events.
HOURLY RATE: £40 per hour (£90 for 3 hours)
TEACHING: In-person

ABOUT THE LESSON
Andrzej gained the invaluable experience of working within an educational body at the renown Point Blank Music School. Armed with practical experience, technological know-how and intuitive approach; his teaching style adapts to the needs of a student. The minimum 3-hour package is designed in a way that allows full flexibility.
The first session is there to assess the level of knowledge and experience. If you are a ‘beginner’ you will be assessed based on your understanding of the used DJ technology, your musicality etc. - which means the following 2-hours will teach you basics of beat-matching, EQing or understanding time signatures. You are perhaps ‘advanced’ and thinking of taking your skills to another level, maybe your session should take place at a PRO studio and Andrzej will help and guide you through this process.
Between 2021 and 2023, Andrzej has taught approx 15 students across a total of 50 hours.
